hey does anyone know what area this is

I redownloaded the game last night and while I was exploring in Gupton I like. clipped through the corner of a doorway and fell under the map by accident???
and then I ended up here
where is this???? is this expansion stuff I haven't run into yet? the map was all black but I was able to use the return spell to leave

Less traveled zones like the Dragon Graveyards have had strange out of bounds glitches like this in the past. They never get mentioned in patch notes or anything... it's unusual to see one in a peaceful pantheran settlement like Gupton.
Tread carefully. There's rumors of corrupted saves, and I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to poor Felos.

Oh dear! It looks to me like you've stumbled upon the Gupton Catacombs! The community has theorized that it was an incomplete raid that was left in the game. Unfortunately, Wizzard accidentally left a debug portal to it in the game! How very clumsy!

I'm gonna make an alt to explore it so that Felos doesn't get corrupted. what if they left unobtainable loot down there?? also wow talk about an RP spot

Quite the dramatic story, but it's compelling! Maybe instead of catacomb rats, though, Lanternpaw could meet a wandering Earth Gnome instead who would offer them hand-grown tubers! Just a thought.

hmmmm. tubers are prolly nicer than rats. less hardcore though. is this gnome a visitor concerned for Petrus or do they live in the catacombs too?

There are some pretty hardcore tubers! Have you ever heard of cassava? Some types are toxic! You have to be so very careful to make sure you don't hurt yourself.
I think this Earth Gnome would be a regular adventurer within the forbidden catacombs. They're known for being adventurous and courageous, often being the first to discover new lands and treasure!

okay so I made my alt character last night and powerlevelled him to like level 34, which should be enough for Gupton, and I managed to clip into the same doorway again
I got to the same place in the cancelled gupton catacombs and started exploring a little. this place is HUGE!! how big was this raid supposed to be??

Though the twisting corridors bear no sense, to close thine eyes and search freely with your soul may reveal a path to the heart of the complex. And in there, a malevolence none were meant to bear by sight or sound or touch. Perhaps something broke free. Perhaps it’s just a remnant. close my eyes and search with my soul? I don't get how that'll get me anywhere aside from falling off a cliff but ok I'll try it
